Well, taking its appearance first, the Nokia 6260 Slide is incredibly stylish and very compact. Designed to appeal to people of both genders for business and personal use, it is available in two colours – silver and black – and is so well designed and slim that it is difficult to work out how all of the latest 3G technology fits in there. As such, it feels good and fits well in your hand. It is a slide phone and the mechanism seems to work incredibly well, being very smooth and easy to use. Fans of other successful Nokia slide phones will definitely want the Nokia 6260 Slide!

Packed Full Of Features

The Nokia 6260 Slide does not just have a pretty face but is incredibly functional as well. There are so many lovely features that it is difficult to pick out just a few. The big and bright screen has a resolution of 320×480 pixels and is 2.4 inches so it is perfect for viewing images and videos. The latter two features are two of the major strong points of the handset. The 5MP Carl Zeiss camera is powerful and takes pictures that are absolutely crystal clear. The video functionality is just as good and incredibly stable for a mobile handset.

There are other essential features on board the Nokia 6260 Slide as well. For example, the WLAN Wi-Fi and HDSPA technology is a lovely touch that keeps you connected and the GPS navigation system will ensure that you do not get lost. There is a god quality music player on board as well and over 20 hours of playback. Finally, there are all the usual connectivity options that you would expect, including USB and Bluetooth. If you are not out of breath yet then you should be because the list goes on and on.

The Negatives

As with all handsets, there are one or two little niggles associated with the Nokia 6260 Slide. Firstly, there is only 256MB of internal memory. Now this is not bad for an initial memory store and it can be supplemented by up to 8GB on a MicroSD card. However, given the level of functionality on the phone, it really should be more. Aside from that issue, the Nokia 6260 Slide is well designed and has everything you need. Chunky fingers may need a little time to get used to the keypad but even that issue is easily overcome.

In short, the Nokia 6260 Slide is a solid phone that has a level of performance to go with the features list. There are no major weak links and Nokia fans and technology buffs alike will love the handset. Nokia has certainly set a tough act to follow for its future models.
